Keeping up with Claude Code's release pace is a chore. CCWatch, a free community tool by Marc Dix, automates it by scanning Claude Code's GitHub repository and CHANGELOG.md for new versions, then presenting them in a searchable interface.
The tracker categorizes changes by type (additions, fixes, improvements) and lets you filter by version bump size (major, minor, patch). An 18-month activity chart shows release frequency over time, and each entry includes relative timestamps so you can see at a glance how recent a change is. Platform-specific tags for SDK, VSCode, and IDE changes are extracted automatically.
No login, no ads, no cost. It's a simple single-purpose tool that solves the specific annoyance of manually checking a changelog file. Available at ccwatch.net.
